The first part of the Metadata Standard you should be looking at is the OpenSea NFT Metadata Standard. Much of the inspiration behind ETHITEM was taken from the metadata support offered by the platform. Aside from OpenSea, we recommend designing your metadata to be compatible first and foremost with the ETHITEM frontend. Beyond that, everything depends on your particular use case.
